So, Kristy and I have looked for a while to find a church we like around Fishers/Carmel. Unfortunately a) we didn't find the perfect one yet and b) we didn't even think to look at how 'kid-friendly' the churches were. So... if you go to or know of one that you'd recommend, please let us know. Thanks.

Time "Off"
I am soooo looking forward to next week as David took the week off. I'm sure he is second guessing his decision after the fit that Jack and Ella had tonight. They decided to play "who can scream louder" from about 7:15 pm to 8:00 pm. Oh well, I guess it won't be the last time they throw a fit.
Typically, we would go on vacation during this week, but this year vacation will be hanging out around Fishers (or maybe go to the camp ground to visit grandma and grandpa). I have a feeling that golf will play heavily into the equation as well. The big bummer of next week is that David still has to work on Tuesday... July 1... my birthday!
I'm also excited about fireworks on the fourth. We have a panoramic view of the skyline from our deck. We get to see several different shows, as well as, all the personal fireworks that people shoot off.
This weekend we are going to go to the Fishers Freedom Festival... I think. I bought 4th of July outfits for Jack & Ella, so I'm excited about seeing them all dressed-up. Fortunately, we'll spend a big portion of the time with Thad and Bobbi. It is always nice to have the extra arms to hold the babies.
I had a great visit today from my mom, sister, niece, and nephews. I wish we lived closer - I'm sure that line will get a raised eyebrow from David :).

It's been a very good year
It's hard to believe that it's been less than a year since Kristy started taking meds and we were then fortunate enough to meet Jack and Ella. However, the past couple weeks since Kristy has been out of school have flown by for us.
We hung out with Grandma and pa
And with our new cousin Kaine
And with Debbie
And with Dylan who was born on Jack/Ella's original due date (We thought Jack was big until then...)
Jack still enjoys a good nap
And just may be a computer geek like dad
We had another big storm and visited the basement, but Jack still wasn't scared
Ella loves a good laugh
Even when dad tries to sleep in a boppy
Someday only one of them will be able to sit in the chair
And to top it off, Saturday night Jack and Ella got their first bites of food

Jack's Good News
On Monday we went for our last appointment with Dr. T (pulmonologist). He gave Jack a clean bill of health and released him from all electronics (bye-bye apnea monitor). Though we had already stopped using the machine a couple nights before, it was great to hear the doc confirm what we already knew. When they hooked Jack up to the machine that registers his oxygen level... it read 99%. YEAH!!! It is amazing to us how far he has come!
The other bonus of the day was that we got to spend about an hour with our favorite nurse, Debbie! She met us for lunch at the hospital and held Jack while we ate. She has been such a wonderful addition to our lives over the last couple of years... we look forward to a lifetime of her friendship.
We also had another doctor's appointment this week. We went to the pediatrician on Wednesday for our "2 month" check-up. Though Jack and Ella are 5 months old, their developmental age is adjusted to their original due date - all appointments are based on this date. Jack weighed in at 11 lbs 7 ozs; Ella weighed in at 10 lbs 11 ozs. Jack was in the 75% on weight & head size; he was in the 50% on length. Ella was in the 50% on weight, head size, and length. The pediatrician was extremely happy with their development and was quite impressed with their growth. He told us that we could start feeding them cereal because their intake of formula was stellar. Go Babies!
As for David and I...
David has been keeping busy at work and has renewed his love of golf this summer. He also found out that he likes to push the stroller... seems I never get the opportunity :).
I am home for the summer. I am soooooo fortunate to have this time to be with Jack and Ella during the summer. I can't wait til they're a little older; I've already started a "Things to Do this Summer" list. What I hope is that each summer we'll have a list that we've compiled over the fall/winter/spring and each day of summer break Jack and Ella can pick something from the list to do. I know... cheesy. Something else I've realized is that I probably wouldn't be a very good "stay at home mom" all the time. I tend to get bored/lonely. Now if David could stay home too... that would be great!
Anyway, only 48 days left until I start school again.

Bedtime Wonders
Who would have thought that all I had to do was put Jack and Ella in their cribs, and they would sleep through the night?! So far we have been in the nursery for 5 nights. The first two nights they each slept for 7.5 hours... the next two nights they slept for 5.5 hours, and last night they each slept for 8 hours. I'm in shock!! Not only are David and I getting better sleep (we are in our own bed again), but the babies seem to really like their nursery. They fall asleep listening to Bach, Beethoven, or Mozart on their mobiles... wow, I wish I would have known this two months ago!
Another big event happens today - the babies are officially 5 months old (even though their adjusted b-day puts them at 2 months old). Happy Birthday Jack & Ella.
A special CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Kerri and Bret - Even though I can't guarantee that I'll spell his name right in the future, we welcome Kaine to the family!! My nephew was born at the end of May, and I am so excited that Jack and Ella will have a cousin so close to their age to play with. I can already see it Kerri; we leave the kids with David and Bret, and we go shopping!
Also, we look forward to our visit with my aunt, uncle, cousin and her two kids this Saturday. Angie's son Dylan was born on April 10... Jack and Ella's due date. It will be fun to see how they compare in size.

He's thinkin'a going to the mattresses already...
Well...after almost 2 months at home, the kids finally made it to the nursery (at least for an hour now, anyways...). Check it out.
Ella's bed
Jack's bed
Bedtime feeding?
Jack and Ella each have a guardian watching over them...
Great-grandma K came to visit
Ella got some kisses from Grandma k
And we posed for a family pic (Mom's the serious one, Ella's the crazy one, Jack's the chiller and Dad just laughs)
We had a bad storm the other night that made some interesting sunsets, but Jack wasn't scared

Big day tomorrow
Tomorrow is Kristy's last day at school (hopefully, she'll post more often now...) and also we're going to try the kids in their cribs. From the video below, you'd think Ella stays up all night, but it turns out Jack enjoys eating too much to sleep all night yet...

Loads of pics
Another weekend almost over and back to work we go. This week was simply incredible for me to get to spend 4 days with them all to myself. It was sometimes frustrating but spending 24x7 with them showed their personalities and let me understand their moods/cries/smiles more easily. Maybe someday I'll actually attain patience... Below is a picture recap.
Jack and Ella are sleeping more (almost 6 hours last night)
Ella likes her new toy and moving her head around
But Jack doesn't
They are getting more adorable every day
No idea why he'd turn out short and stocky...
A natural fighter?
One of these days we'll actually move up to the nursery
Lots of visits from cousins
A pose for the camera
