Soooo Big

David and I just got back from vacation (very relaxing) and haven't stopped marveling at how big the kids got in only a week's time. Their legs are longer, their hands and feet are bigger, even their tummies seem bigger. I don't know what mom and dad did to get them to grow so much, but I'm not sure I like it.

You see, I still call them babies... David tries to convince me that they are toddlers now. What is he trying to do? Next thing you know they're in school, graduating, going to college, getting married... ok, you I am getting a little carried away. My point is that everyone keeps saying "they grow up so fast" - I never gave it a thought. Now, seeing how much they've changed in only a week, I'm scared to death of how fast this journey will go.

I guess I can't stop them from getting bigger, older, more independent - The only thing left for he is to love them with all my heart and be there when they need me.

Summer break

It's hard to believe that we're nearly 3 weeks into Kristy's summer break already, but she does have a pretty standard schedule with the kids now.

06:30 - Jack starts wailing
06:35 - Ella starts in, so it's time to get them up
07:00 - First bottle (working on the sippy cups later in the day...)
07:45 - Breakfast (either eggs, french toast waffles, or just yogurt)
08:30 - Run around town shopping or sometimes just cruising
11:00 - Lunch time (along the lines of raviolis or hot dogs)
13:00 - Nap time (Kristy gets a couple hours of free time!)
15:00 - Juice with the sippy cups
17:00 - Dinner time (usually whatever we're having, last night it was salmon patties)
18:15 - Nighttime milk bottle
19:00 - Bedtime (one or two dr. seuss books settles them down)
19:30 - Chill on the deck (with the sound and video monitor, of course)

We snapped a bunch of pictures last week, so here they are:

Jack decides to walk

Well, Ella has been running circles around Jack for the last 4 months, but Jack decided that enough was enough, so in the last couple days, he's decided to try this walking thing. Take a look:
