Kristy and I finally ventured to the next step. Instead of using the stroller and the infant seats, we decided to try the cart slots for kids. So... our first attempt was today at Costco, which has the double-seated areas for kids. Ella on the right and Jack on the left. Everything was going fine except for Jack's attempts to investigate Ella's ear. And then, we were going down the milk isle (we are finally on 1/2 milk, 1/2 formula), when we heard a lady on a cell phone talking about the kids. "Oh, they're so cute, it's a little boy and a little girl. The little boy is trying to put his finger in the little girl's ear.... Well, they must be about 6-8 months old." Kristy and I turned around, but decided that the long explanation of 'They're actually almost 14 months, but were born 3 months early, and, by the way, we're of pretty short stature ourselves' wasn't worth it. So... we just smiled and moved on to the cereal isle. I wish she could see our little girl at 26" walking...
